The aim is to raise the money to send trainers out to Juba Teaching Hospital. This entails not only getting them there but also paying for visas, insurance, vaccinations and the anti-malarial prophylaxis required for travel to this part of the world.

It equates to approx. £1000.00 per person.

Secondly, trainers need some where to stay when in Juba, hence the ‘Link Bungalow’.

Juba is a post-conflict town whose infrastructure is gradually being rebuilt. Accommodation is scarce and expensive. The Government of Southern Sudan have given the Link an area of land – adjacent to the Juba Teaching Hospital – where we are currently building a house to accommodate visiting doctors, nurses, midwives and other healthcare professionals paid for by fundraising in the UK.  The roof is now on and plumbing and electricity is being installed.  The Link has raised £120,000 but currently need approximately £40,000 to complete the Link Bungalow.
